Moratel Westriver Santé (call name ‘Santé’) was born and raised in Nova Scotia. She came to live at West River, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, in February 2008. She loved the snow, and the high banks created by the snow plows were her favourite places to scramble and do her daily chores. Another favourite, was the center field of a half mile training track where she could chase birds, balls, and Frisbees. A bundle of energy, who loved the outdoors, people, cats, dogs, and horses, Santé soon became the center of attention. Sally, the cat, had to have her food dish moved to the basement so Santé wouldn’t eat her food. In time they developed a mutual respect for one another, and it is never more noticeable than when Santé barks in the late evening or early morning and takes me to the door to let Sally into the house.
Santé has grown into a beautiful representative of the Entlebucher standard. In addition, she is a great companion and she enjoys social events, playing ball, skijoring, carting, rally obedience, and conformation competitions. She loves to travel by car and plane, and settles into new accommodations as one would expect of a seasoned traveler. Motherhood is next on the agenda for Santé. I predict that this is the role for which she will be most remembered!
